cdr trading:
It's best if you can order online from places like American Digital to get your own supply of Taiyo Yuden or Mitsui brand cdr's, which are Grade A and are Made In Japan.
And here's a place to look as to why I only want these brands used CDRFAQ.
When sending blanks as part of a trade, please send ONLY TY brand cdr's.
I copy all of my shows for trade with Exact Audio Copy. Try it for yourself, it's the best thing out there, plus it's FREE!!
Also, I BURN everything in DAO (disc at once), and I would ask that you do so as well.
Check all of your discs for gaps, clicks or any other problems. DO NOT send me any shows with gaps in them, PERIOD!!!! If I receive shows with gaps, you will be required to resend that show fixed or another show as compensation for wasting my time.
I have general artwork, or sometimes good artwork for my cdr's. I will email you copies for what you're getting. I would ask you do the same, or print out what you have and include it in the package. Also, if you have "good" artwork to where I only have "general" or vice-versa, let me know so that we can exchange those as well.
DO NOT write on the cdr's, PERIOD. Not on the disc, not on the inner ring, NO WHERE on the disc. Please mark on a piece of paper or the like what is on the disc. I'll do the same.
If you are into lossless trading,
please let me know. I can easily convert any cdr show into lossless
files and can be burned onto cdr's or dvd's.
video trading:
I can copy & burn dvd shows, as I list those that I have in that format. All are listed for region (NTSC, PAL).
DAT trading:
I use mostly Sony DAT tapes, but i'll accept whatever you have.
I use 60m (2 hour) & 90m (3 hour) tapes. If a show is over 2 hours, put it on a 90m tape.
I now have (2) home decks with which I can convert shows DAT to DAT, as well as for converting shows to cdr via my computer.

This is what I "used to" record my shows with, a Sony PCM-M1.

I now have a new recording device, as my M1 is getting on in years, and repair costs! I've gotten a Roland Edirol R-09 Portable Recorder. This is much better to use, as there are no moving parts, and when you want to work on tracking a show, you can do it within a few minutes instead of waiting for real time playback.

This is my Sony PCM-R300 home deck, of which I now have 2. I like this deck MUCH better than my previous deck.
A lot of my DAT shows have already been converted to cdr and/or lossless files. I can and have converted DAT shows onto cdr, that's no problem at all, as long as I have the time. Just ask.
1 60m dat for 3 cdr's, 1 90m dat for 4 cdr's.
Here are a couple helpful tips for those who record shows and convert to cdr:
1. When tracking songs, please start the track at the BEGINNING of a song, not at the end, for greater ease in locating the song for playback.
2. When a show is going to run over 80min., please split the show as EVENLY as possible over the 2 discs. Putting 75min on d.1 and 25min on d.2 is stupid, and a waste of space, unless you have some useful material, or the opening act to use as filler on disc 2.
I'm looking for some specific shows. If you have them or know where I might find them, please drop me a line.
