During our entire Italian trip we did a lot of walking and Venice was no exception. The streets
have no "understandable" signs and they twist around in such a special way you don't realize you're going in
circles.
Venice is an expensive sity. Property values are so high many of the locals have been
forced to look for lodging on the mainland. This might not be a long term problem.
The ocean is rising and the entire city is losing about a centimeter every 10 years. St.
Mark's square is often under water.
It is a beautiful city with a rich history and shouldn't be missed.
