The next day Elaine took us to Forte de Marmi. Some
people will spend the entire summer at the beach. They will rent Villa's
(10,000 - 25,000 euro's
per month) and just sit under umbrellas for most of the day. Sounds good to me!
After lunch we went to Pisa. Claudia and I did the best we could to straighten out the bell tower, but we had no effect. Actually some years ago they did correct the lean to a small degree. To correct the problem would hurt tourism too much. Actually the leaning tower reminded me of some of my home improvement projects.
