We spent five relaxing days on Mykinos and had a ball. Our hotel was excellent and the room had an ocean veiw. We rented a quad runner while on the island and we did a lot of exploring. I scuba dove one day. The water was cold and clear, but no coral or large fish. The people were all very friendly and the food was fantastic.

The island has very little vegetation and tourisim is the main industry. The city of Mykinos was fun to visit. There are lots of little shops and restraunts. The streets were designed by a drunken sailor. The island has a reputation for a party atmosphere, but it wasn't a factor in our visit. I guess we go to bed too soon. We never had a problem with the language. There was always someone around that spoke english. The signs and that crazy alphabet is GREEK to me. One day we rode our Harley to the east side of the island. Below are a couple of pictures of a monastary we visited.

After five days on Mykinos we flew to Santorini. We stayed at the Santo MiraMare Resort. It was a beautiful resort on a black sand beach. Once again we found a lot of friendly people and some wonderful food. After doing a lot walking and sightseeing in Italy, the Greek islands were perfect place for relaxing, reading and just chilling out.
