| The El Vado on Central Avenue in Albuquerque was the first vintage motel I stayed in on my first Route 66 trip. It wasn't my first visit to Albuquerque, but it was the first time I started to appreciate the vintage wonders of Central Ave. I've been back almost every year since, to see the neon signs at night is like something out of a dream. |
