In Terry Labonte's Pit
This is when the track temperature in pit row was 158°F
and the asphalt track was coming apart.
Labonte's car slid in the loose asphalt
and he kissed the wall between turns 1 and 2.
(Like everyone else.)
The only damage was a bent rim,
but he had already used his last tire change.
his car was shaking too bad to continue.
People in the stands were dropping like flies from the heat.
