Welcome to the Alton-Godfrey Jaycee Homepage, which contains information about our chapter, which has just completed celebrating our Sixtieth Anniversary of service to the Riverbend region!!

The mission of the Jaycees is to provide young people (ages 21-39) the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills through local community service and organizational involvement. In the Alton-Godfrey area, we perform this mission through such projects as Thanksgiving Food Baskets, Christmas and Easter parties for needy children, Adopt-a-Class program, and Adopt-a-Block trash cleanups.

But we also like to have fun! Our recent "Fantasy Bowl" is just one of many events throughout the year where we gather with other Jaycees to socialize and have a good time. We also visit sites around the St. Louis area such as Grant's Farm and the Royal Dumpe Dinner Theater, and we attend events ranging from concerts at Powell Hall to Cardinal baseball games.

We are always looking for new members with an interest in personal development and community service. If you would be interested in joining us, please e-mail and let us know how we can be of service to you. Or stop by at one of our General Membership meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. We hold meetings at 7:30 at the Alton Sports Tap, which is located at 3812 College Avenue in Alton (right off of Homer Adams Parkway). Hope to see you soon!
