The Future.
An old enemy.
The perfect predator.
Defeated but not destroyed.

If only her killer instinct could be
reconfigured,

re-formed...

Resurrected.

The experiments begin. An unholy combination of human and alien genetics, made possible by an uneasy alliance between a renegade band of smugglers and a zealous cadre of scientists and officials. One subject is familiar -- a woman horrifically linked to the alien species that now elicits so much scrutiny. Ripley is back and all is not what it seems...

~ Inspired by the previous ALIEN movies, this $100 million sequel is the latest installment in the saga of one woman's stand against a biological terror and the unknown faceless government which wants to exploit it's possibilities for warfare.

~ Written by Joss Whedon and produced by Bill Badalato, Alien: Resurrection takes audiences into the future as Lt. Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) finds herself on a United Systems Military spaceship.

~ This new Ripley is a clone from the original Ripley's DNA from blood taken from her on Fiorina "Fury" 161. Suprisingly, the new Ripley also recovers most of her latent memories. It is also a surprise to find that her DNA was bonded with the alien DNA during the cloning process, resulting with her having a strong link to the aliens, enhanced strength and senses.

~ It seems that the resident scientists Dr. Wren (J.E. Freeman) and Dr. Gediman (Brad Dourif), head scientist of the U.S.S. AURIGA, plan to grow and develop relatively benign lab versions of the alien harvested from her chest cavity.

~ The scientists are determined to give birth to the species queen - the process terminated through Ripley's death in the last movie - through direct order of Gen. Perez (Dan Hedaya). The crew of the BETTY - Vriess (Dominique Pinon), Johner (Ron Perlman), Christie (Gary Dourdan), Elgyn (Michael Wincott), Annalee Call (Winina Ryder), Hilliard (Kim Flowers) and Distephano (Raymond Cruz) - is delivering stolen humans in cryosleep for impregnation tests under Gen. Perez' orders.

~ During the testing, twelve aliens escape their chambers and cause the evacuation of the science station. As Ripley and the mercenary crew make their escape to the BETTY, they stumble upon the dead stolen humans. Purvis (Leland Orser) is the only one to survive - though only temporarily as Ripley senses that he hosts the larvae in his chest.

~ Along the way, Annalee Call, the mercenary mechanic, befriends herself with Ripley for reasons only she knows. As they try to reach sanctuary more deaths follow, more secrets to these women called Ripley and Call are revealed. Until, unfortunately, this ragtag group comes face-to-face with the next generation of the perfect biological weapon - a terrible human/alien hybrid.
